Bethlehem Lutheran Church Sunday School 10:30-11:30 AM
GOALS: Have fun while learning about God and reading His word.
Have fun while caring and loving for others.
Have fun while learning about prayer and praise.
Have fun while memorizing God’s words.
COME AND HAVE FUN!!!!!
Sunday school classes are offered for ages 3 (before Sept.1) through 12th grade.
***We want Sunday School to be a positive experience for every student. Most of our teachers are volunteers with no official teacher training. If a teacher feels that your child is taking away learning and fun from other students you may be asked to sit in the next class with your child to help the teacher make sure this is a positive experience for every child in the classroom.
***Sunday School is supposed to start at 10:30 AM (This depends when church gets out). If you are dropping kids off please make sure they are supervised until church is out, as many of our teachers are in church and not in the classrooms.
***10:30-10:45 Snack; 10:45-11:15 Lesson ; 11:15-11:30 choir/bells
*** Throughout the year we will have service projects going on. Please look for emails and papers coming home listing ways that you and your family can help.
*** Remember we collect an offering every week. Part of that goes to support two students through World Vision.
We have a kids’ choir and bell choir for the 3 year olds through 6th grade. We alternate performances monthly and usually perform the last Sunday of the month during church. Please try to be in church on those dates and encourage your child to participate. With such small numbers all voices and hands are appreciated.
Tara Hoogendoorn will direct the choir
Ashlee Kimberly will direct the bell choir.
Our 4 year olds -Kindergarten class will start learning the Lord’s Prayer. They will say it together every week in Sunday School.
Our 1st-3rd graders will also be saying the Lord’s prayer in class but we are asking for help from the parents. Please try to say it one time a day with your child.
Our 4th graders will be learning the 10 commandments. Please help at home too.
Our 5th-6th graders will be learning the Nicene and Apostles Creeds. Please help at home too.
****We also offer Confirmation classes starting in 3rd grade with Confirmation taking place usually in the 10th grade. We have a different paper with confirmation requirements.
